When the City of Denton started talking about hosting trick-or-treaters on the Denton Square, Heather Walker of Brite Smiles and I both loved the idea.
We both bought piles of candy to hand over to all the little goblins, witches, and wizards who come by. (Seriously, y’all, you gotta come take this candy off our hands!)
But then Heather upped the ante by suggesting we also collect non-perishable food items to donate to our local food bank. I thought this was a fantastic idea and am lining up squarely behind Heather’s idea.
So, if you would like to contribute some food to help feed families who need it, we will be collecting non-perishable items and moving it straight into the shelves at Freedom House.
Once the kids get their treats, we have another special “trick” to share! I will have my gear on hand to take super cute pictures of kids or even families in costumes. These images can be instantly downloaded as a sweet reminder of a magical night out with your kiddos.
So add us to your trick-or-treating route this Halloween! You will find Heather and me in front of The Hickory Building at 207 West Hickory. (If you know where Reading Rosy is, we will be right there at the awning.)
